At Rotoplastics we offer different options of Aqua Filter Housings and Cartridges.

  • Specifications
Aqua Filter Housings and Cartridges

Filter Housings
FP2 and FP3 Filter Housings
  • Available in two standard sizes - 5° and 9°
  • Choice of transparent or white bowls with brass threaded inlets / outlets and brass bleed screws
  • The FP3 housing is designed to hold standard filter cartridges and its unique ring- nut design allows the filter bowl to be easily removed. Accessories:

    • Optional filter keys for easy opening and changing of cartridges
    • Sturdy metal brackets for mounting onto the wall. Applications: Domestic drinking water and machine water filtration

Aqua Big Filter Housings

  • Available in two standards sizes - 9° and 20°
  • Choice of transparent bowl for easy view of the cartridge or white bowls for protection against sunlight penetration
  • Are available in inlet / outlet diameters: 1" and 1.5"
  • Flow rates are 107 litres per minute (28 GPM) for the 1" model and 195 litres per minute (51 GPM) for the 1.5" model.
  • Because of the larger surface area, Aqua Big Filter Cartridges require less frequent replacement, translating into reduced maintenance costs
  • Accessories: Optional filter keys for easy opening and changing of cartridges. Sturdy metal brackets for mounting onto the wall.
  • Applications: Domestic, Commercial and Industrial water filtration.
Aqua Select Filters

  • Attractive filter faucet adapts to most kitchen sinks
  • Simple design and installation requires no change to existing plumbing and can be installed within minutes
  • The Aqua Select Filter comes complete with an activated carbon cartridge which significantly reduces chlorine, bad taste and odour

  • Applications: Drinking water for homes and offices.
Cartridges
Washable Net Cartridge
  • The inside of the cartridge is lined with a fine mesh which removes suspended solids from the water
  • A square net design allows the uniform flow of water along the entire surface of the cartridge, minimizing the possibility of clogging
  • These cartridges are washable and reusable
  • Applications: Excellent pre-filtration on inlet lines to water tanks, thus allowing less frequent tank cleaning.

Anti-Bacterial Cartridge
  • These ceramic cartridges are very porous with extremely fine filtration which can filter suspended particles
  • This cartridge acts as a barrier to bacteria down to 0.5 microns
  • Changing of these cartridges depends on the working conditions, but it is not recommended that these be used for more than twelve (12) months
  • Are reusable and can be cleaned by wiping the surface with a scrubbing pad
  • Applications: Water treatment, drinking water and laboratory use

Activated Carbon Cartridges
  • Carbon cartridges filter water through a three (3) part process:
  • Pre-filtration: A foam filter treats the water before it comes into contact with the carbon. This process enables a longer cartridge life
  • Filtration: The longer the water stays in contact with the carbon (the flow-rate), the stronger the absorption effect will be in removing chlorine, bad taste and odour
  • Post-filtration: A second foam filter treats the water before it leaves the cartridge, removing any remaining suspended particles
  • Has a flow rate of 1,500 litres per hour
  • Are non-washable and cannot be reused
  • Applications: Drinking water, food and beverages.

Polyphosphate Cartridge

  • Polyphosphate salts are anti-scaling agents. This is ideal for use with hard, high calcium content water where the elimination of scale and corrosion is required.
  • A polyphosphate cartridge consists of a plastic canister filled with crystal salts of various sizes. Once the polyphosphate salt has dissolved, a chemical reaction takes place withholding the suspended particles. This prevents scaling and the depositing of particles along pipelines or inside mechanical components, thereby avoiding inefficiency.
  • Note: This cartridge is not suitable for drinking water.
  • Applications: Washing machines, dishwashers, boilers, and any heat transfer applications which utilizes water.
